About Health Force

Health Force specializes in operational AI solutions for healthcare environments, focusing on administrative and logistical automation to enhance hospital efficiency

The Challenge

Health Force needed a structured, secure, and scalable environment to test its AI agents in real-world hospital settings. The validation process included:
- Designing a testing protocol for the pilot
- Automating monthly administrative tasks at ULS Coimbra
- Observing real hospital workflows
- Validating AI agent output, usability, and compliance expectations
- Ensuring data accuracy before publication
- Publishing anonymized, non-clinical data on a secure platform
- Two monthly review meetings to assess automation effectiveness and discuss improvements

The Story

Hospital systems are burdened with repetitive administrative tasks. Health Force aimed to prove that AI could handle these tasks securely and quietly without altering staff workflows. Through TEF-Health, the company gained access to ULS Coimbra for a two-month pilot. The challenge was to validate automation performance, data integrity, and security in a real hospital environment.

The pilot involved identifying top use cases, detailing requirements, observing workflows, and validating AI agent output for usability and compliance. Activities included automating monthly administrative tasks, ensuring data accuracy, publishing anonymized data, and conducting regular review meetings.

Outputs from the pilot were used to enhance the algorithm and improve reliability. The technology achieved TRL 6 (demonstrated in a relevant environment) and aimed to reach TRL 7 (system prototype in an operational environment). The pilot proved that Health Force AI agents successfully eliminated manual work in administrative processes, enabling staff to concentrate on higher-value activities without IT disruption.

KIWOK - remote heart monitoring and cyber security
Kiwok’s BodyKom is a mobile ECG monitoring solution that provides continuous, real-time heart data from patients in everyday settings, enabling up to 72 hours of secure monitoring and remote diagnostics. This improves early detection, reduces hospital visits, and supports personalized care, while clinicians benefit from timely alerts and better decision-making. To meet EU MDR requirements and ensure safe deployment, Kiwok partnered with TEF-Health via RISE Cyber Range for penetration testing of BodyKom’s firmware and communication protocols. The assessment revealed potential vulnerabilities and offered remediation guidance, strengthening cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and adding value to product development and sales.
