Hospital systems are burdened with repetitive administrative tasks. Health Force aimed to prove that AI could handle these tasks securely and quietly without altering staff workflows. Through TEF-Health, the company gained access to ULS Coimbra for a two-month pilot. The challenge was to validate automation performance, data integrity, and security in a real hospital environment.
The pilot involved identifying top use cases, detailing requirements, observing workflows, and validating AI agent output for usability and compliance. Activities included automating monthly administrative tasks, ensuring data accuracy, publishing anonymized data, and conducting regular review meetings.
Outputs from the pilot were used to enhance the algorithm and improve reliability. The technology achieved TRL 6 (demonstrated in a relevant environment) and aimed to reach TRL 7 (system prototype in an operational environment). The pilot proved that Health Force AI agents successfully eliminated manual work in administrative processes, enabling staff to concentrate on higher-value activities without IT disruption.
